With a rare blend if determination, charisma and athleticism after being selected by the Oakland Raiders in 2003, this Californian native has shown to be a solid player in the National Football League (NFL). His hard work and determination that has paved road for three NFL teams: Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins are now paying off away from the gridiron.

Gbaja-Biamila also known as “AGB” athletic accomplishments aren’t the true depth of his purpose.  His goal is to motivate children to succeed in school, strengthen their self-esteem and inspire them to follow their dreams. In addition, he has in progress AGB’$ Money Management Program where he personally presents a hands-on, interactive and engaging “Money 101” curriculum that fuses fact with fun.

Away from the field, Akbar has been equally as successful. Last year in 2007/2008 he Co-Hosted the show “Football Night in San Diego” on NBC with Jim Laslovic. In 2005, he completed a certified Entrepreneurial Management Program at The Business School of Wharton/ University of Pennsylvania. Receiving his Bachelors of Art in Communication from San Diego State University, Akbar is transitioning with success. He recently announced his interest in developing a new trend for the online vehicle classified.
