I remember the saying, "Sticks and stones will breake my bones, but words could never hurt me." I found out through life that words will hurt me. Words have power to heal or to destroy. God created the world and everything in it by his word. He was finished in six days, and he blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it, He rested. The power of the word is in the tongue, the tongue produces what is in the heart. If your heart is full of hate the product will be hate and if you are love then love will flow from your tongue and made into words to express your spirit.
The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor (Proverbs 11:3 verse 9) A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter. (Prov. 11:3 verse 13) He who speaks truth declares righteousness. But a false witness, deceit. (Prov. 13:4 vs. 17) There is one who speaks like the piercing of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health. The truthfull lip shall be established forever, But a lying tongue is but a for a moment. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight. Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad. (Prov. 13:4 18, 19, 22, 25
He who guards his mouth preserves his life (Prov. 13:4 vs 3)
A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness. (Prov. 19:9 vs 2) A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, But the heart of fool does not. (Prov. 15:9 vs. 4, 7) Bible

Every word that comes out of our mouth we would be accounted for. I need to remember that all the time I open my mouth to speak.
