Seventy years are given us! And some may even live to eighty. But even the best of these years are often emptiness and pain; soon they disappear, and we are gone. Who can realize the terrors of your anger? Which of us can fear You as we should? Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.

Today we are able to prolong life for certain time due to our knowledge of science and medical know how. However, God knows and allows us to do as we please for a short time. It does not matter how long we live here on earth the outcome compare to eternity is miniscule. Life is like a mist, a vapor compare to our new life after death. When the Bible talks about fear of the Lord, it does not mean the fear that we all know. It is referring to reverance and respect. A respect well deserved.
Our days are number and when we are called to leave this earth it don't matter how rich, poor, famous, a nobody we are, we are going and no doctor or anything that man can do will change that. We should be ready for our new trip and our new home. Just the way we get ready to take a trip we make sure we got our traveling ticket, plenty of cash on hand, credit cards, reservations, clothes and anything and everything we need to be secure and cozy in our trip. We check and recheck to make certain that nothing is missed.
