| The faces of evil |
Evil has many faces. Have you ever met a person or persons that instantly revolted you. I am not talking about somebody unbathed, ragged clothing, poor hygene. This is totally different. Is the repulsion of something evil something not right with that person that makes your spirit cringe. We humans wear those faces according to the choices we make through our life time here on earth. Do we inherit evil? I don't think so. We have inherit a fallen nature because of Adam and Eve's sin. Evil is a force an energy that is created within each one of us according to the choices we make that violates God's commandments. We were not created evil nor are we force to do evil, but we do have the capacity to become evil. It is in our nature to follow after the negativity within us. Evil requires a process of development. Over time as we grow into mature human beigns we are learning the good and the bad. There are tremendous forces that shape the spirit of a human beign through childhood before it has the chance to choose his course of action.
Mankind through history has depicted the struggle it has to free itself of evil. As a free created beign with power to choose mankind finds itself in a mental and emotional cage. What to choose? Who to serve. Lets not be mistaken, whomsoever we choose to serve becomes our master. We all have as we are growing influences, stimuli and persuations to choose sides of good or bad. God nor Satan will force us to choose. It is a free will. The freedom to accept or reject.
There are only two states of beign for humans: we can submit to God goodness by following a loving God's laws or we can refuse that submission and do our own thing. But by choosing not to submit to God we have made a choice to submit to Satan either knowingly or unknowingly. As the saying goes...."If you are not for me, you are against me". There is no neutral ground in the universe of God. Every single space of miniscule size in our created universe is claimed by God and then counterclaimed by Satan. Our capacity to change our choices is always available. We have the option to change until the point of death where all the chances ends. Our own freedom of choice has a price . We will suffer consequences according to our choices.
Our greatest enemy is the sin of pride. It has its own pitfalls. There is a difference with beign proud of ourselves and our accomplishments. Is a feeling of all well adjusted, physically healthy and mentally sound individuals and of those who struggle with any forms of disability. But excessive pride and or arrogance is a different song. Arrogance implies our state of thought and self dillusion that unrealistically denies our imperfections, and frailties. Is a form of excessive self-absorption, a narcissitic way of behaving. A willful prideful person refuses to believe and accept Christ blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins and God's existance. Therefore negating to submit to his will. In doing so a person follows Satan's example and become his disciple.
Evil people will not tolerate even hate any scrutiny, self-examination or questioning of their own conciousness, their acts of sinfullness and or imperfections. Even their most twisted and evil deeds, after their rationalization appears good to them. We become evil when we whitewash, cover up, lie, deny, disguised, our lack of morality, conciousness. We uphold our pretense, destructive, faults, hate and murderous behavior with rationality that makes it right in our eyes.
