This verses where written about a group of people who is supposed to have a pact with mighty God, yet they completely ignored their vows and followed not after God.
Today, a lot of it is true, some people do ignore God's blessing, his love and mercy. Is it any wonder why our enemies are at our door step? Just look at God and his love for humanity. He loves everyone the same. He knew us while we were still in our mother's womb been formed. He knows us by name. He is there when we called him and answers our cries.
