Nostalgia

At times we humans find ourselves reliving the past wether it was good or bad. We long for things and people in the past who made us feel happy and whole. Other relive the past over and over in their mind and act as if they were still in the past. Not reaching for the goal, accepting progress, and refusing to let go and let God keep us spinning our wheels and stuck in the muddy past.

It is dangerous to attempt to duplicate the past in our lives. For example: Your spouse has abandoned you and asked for divorce. You learned the reason is another person. After the emotional turmoil subsides to a manageable level there is a tendency to duplicate our happy times in that marriage, if they were any. We can put a wall to hide the evil and pain our spouses had caused us and we go into a fantasy of make believe that they were good, kind, helpful and we day dreamed of their good qualities. It is just the same as when a bad person dies. Those who attend the burial gather later and comment on how good her/she was. Why? Because we are taught since young not to speak evil things of the dead. We are afraid they can hear us and seek revenge.

We all know the dead do not come to life. There are no ghosts except the ones we keep in our minds. However, they are evil spirits that knowing all about that person are assigned to immitate and fool us by making us believe that they are now ghost and we can communicate with a channeling medium or psychic. The only thing these charlatans who claim they can communicate with ghost is take your hard earned money, put up a good show to impress you and keep you hooked so you can come back for more.

The moment the body dies it gives up the spirit and we are immediately in the presence of God. If we are a believer then good news await us if we are not then we go to a waiting area for the white throne judgement. That is when all those who rejected Christ and his sacrifice for our redemption will come to life and stand in the presence of Almighty God and be judge according to what has been documented in the book. Yes, the books will be open, your name appear there and you be judged according to you deeds. When you arise for the second judgement you are out of brakes and there is no more mercy nor any kind of help to get you out of that situation. Is the moment of truth. Nothing will rescue you from the terrible destination you have created for yourself. It is only you and you be alone even thou there be thousands waiting their turn. Friends and relatives in that courtroom cannot help you or care to help you. That is why they are there because of their evil hearts.

You can claim on your defense all the good deeds that you did in life. It will do you no good. For your works will be tried out by fire and see if they worthy of acceptance. The true reason of why you did such good deeds. If you are in these trial you know and God knows that what ever good you did in life was not out of love, mercy, or anything that God commands. So your works will burned up and you will be cast into the lake of fire which was made for the Devil and his angels. It was not made for us humans but we have chosen to go there by refusing to accept Jesus as the only son of God and his precious blood sacrifice and death that would have redeemed us if we would have accepted it.

Our choices put us in an eternal destination. Good or bad is what we have chosen while we were living. We won't be born again, resurrected or reincarnated. You had one life, mnay chances while you were living to repent and accept Jesus and his sacrifice and change your way of living and loving.  If you were a Puritan and you preached the word of God but in your heart you did not believe or lived it you are going to answer for that.  False teachers, fake teachers, self proclaimed saints will share the same fate as the father of lies, the deceiver. He will have no power for his power will be taken away by our Lord and he would be just like everybody else powerless and going into the lake of fire for ever with the angels that followed him and rejected God.

Oh, God I pray that I will be found worthy and that my good deeds and work of love will pass mustard. Thank you God for your mercy.
