| Last Days |
"When I return the world will be as indifferent to the things of God as the people were in Noah's days. They ate and drank and married---everything just as usual right up to the day when Noah went into the ark and the flood came and destroy them all."
Bible: Luke Chapter 17 verse 26
+++++++++
This verse bring to my mind the day of Sept. 11, it was just as Jesus said. Everybody was doing their own thing on that day. I had just gotten home from the health spa were I had been swimming. I turned my TV on and caught the never before first time sight of the very first air plane hitting the World Trade Center. My first thought was, "It is happening again, just like in the past when a plane hit the Empire State building by accident."
I sat down to watch the event when another plane hit the second tower and I suddenlly realized this was not the same. It was something new. I rushed to the telephone and called my youngest sister who was at home that day from work. We were stunned, we did not know what to make of it but we knew something very bad was coming in and that we were in danger.
My sister and I agreed on that. I hung the phone and grab my purse and rushed out the front door of my home and drove to the bank and withdrew a lot of money in cash, drove to the gas station and filled up the gas tank, then rushed over to the supermarket and loaded up with provisions. I did not know what was going on but I knew I better do those things. I guess I went into a survival mode.
But when Jesus returns there will be no time to do the things I did nor would I need to do them. For all who love, believe and obey Jesus our Lord will have their traveling plans and other needs taken care of and will not need to fear anything for it will not affect them as those left behing.
