 Keep believing
It is so easy today to give up and take the shortest rout out of this planet, give yourself into a full life of sin and rebellion. Where are the heroes?  What do we as a people worship and believe in strongly today? The youth of today has few margins, restrictions and mentors. Parents work long hours, kids are on baby sitting arrangements. Lacking parental strong yet kind supervision  and being raised by strangers and who knows how they are treated.

Then they enter school and godless training is taught pushed into their consciousness. Starting with evolution which offers no solution. Kids grow up without a believe that God is real and that we all have to answer for every deed and words spoken out of our mouth. The epidemic of fowl potty mouth in both women and men is rampant. What ever happened to the beautiful English language.

If you speak to some young adults that graduated from high school a few years back they don't even know how to spell, math, they lack goals, no mentors to tell them how wonderful is to be well educated and have goals to reach. They end up living mediocre lives which there is nothing wrong with if that is what you as a well informed person wants to do but not if that is all you know. What ever happened to school teachers who took time to guide and influence kids to strive for goals.

The public school only wants good athletes and offers them a hand of gold if they perform for them, the brilliants kids that show a lot of promise are helped a lot. Even in the suburbs kids that don't seem to catch up with the rest because of emotional, mental, or dyslexia, or just plain  discouragement are cast aside as we do with trash. Unusable no promise. Yet a lot of this kids with attention and  concern are diamonds in the rough and can become incredible citizens with high achievements instead of drop outs, quitters, rejects of society caught in the drugs, sex, all kinds of maladjusted mentality.

Even the girls who use their bodies to get love and attention are worst off ending with early pregnancy and abortions that wreck their your lives. Suicide is so high amongst kids. Even my well loved mailman 18 yrs. old committed suicide over a fail romance.  His father is a good loving dad who loves God yet he could not save his son.  We cannot give up, we must strive, endure, learn, trust in a higher power to guide us and help us out the messes we get into and live to be good God fearing USA citizens with love of country, family and lives.
If not we are doomed to perish like other civilizations that went against God and his laws.   God help us all!!!

Great. That was touching.

We are who we are, because we were chosen. God loves America and God loves us. He does though give us a choice, free will. To protect the freedoms, to live our lives, to be happy and fulfilled.

Very well put.

We have failed to preach, teach and live by example the full counsel of God. Yes, He is loving but He is also a righteous judge. People say a loving God won't send me to hell; but that loving God loves you so much He allows you to spend eternity with the god of your choice.

You sited facts concerning our school systems. We have lost the fear of God which is the beginning of wisdom. The Word of God is gone not only from our schools but our churches as well so there are no absolutes.

Sin and righteousness is still black and white. Mos just can't see it for the gray cloud of self-righteousness and self-centeredness that satan has blinded us with.

We cannot legislate righteousness as a whole for a nation. It is going to have to come as you and I be the light of Jesus to the world and we let others see the Kingdom of God in us in this world. This will be done one to one. The church was never meant to be trapped in a man made building with man's traditions taught as gospel. We are to be "out where the sinners are" like Jesus going about and doing good and being filled with His compassion in His name. Name actually translates, character. We need to be in the world letting His character be seen; not just chanting a mantra of "In Jesus Name" like it is a hokes pokes cure for the world. Let your light so shine before men that they may see YOUR good works and glorify YOUR father, which is in Heaven.

Hi bluemountain7: Your comments are very well put also and I respect them. Edee

MsPatti: A very well insight of our plight. God is good, but also he has emotions matching ours. That is one reason we were created in his image. God is continually grieved as we would be with a child we loved and continues to go the wrong road and be rebellious.
