Justice

Since God is just, all that He permits is consistent with His justice. We may feel that God has cheated us or treated us unfairly because we have been dished out a portion of pain. But "the Lord" loves justice and does not forsake his godly ones; they are preserved forever."  Psalms 37:28 Bible

God's justice guarantees that ultimately all that is unfair will be dealt with. We are naive to assume that all of life in its fallen condition will be fair and just. Is it right and fair that a godly man who loves God and does his will will be shot down by drug crazed young men who tried to rob him in his place of business.  This just happened a couple of weeks ago. They murdered the godly man for a few dollars, that if they would have asked him for the money he would have given it to them. Even to the fact that they knew the man and he was trying to help them. A man loved in community for his many works of kindness and civic duties. With a single gun shot they destroyed a human being and his family. He had a wife and four children. Now his wife is alone with her broken heart and the children are fatherless.

Why would they kill the only person who reached out to them to help them? Because this is a fallen world. Someone else is behind these terrible deeds. These young boys are just an instrument to the king of evil. By destroying the godly man they destroyed the one chance they had to free themselves of a drug infested world and its madness.

It is not that God did not care for the godly man. Yes he did. But that this man work was finished. We all have to die. We can suffer for years with a disease or die quickly by a bullet or accident. This man is collecting his rewards and has entered into paradise. But the ones that shed his blood will pay in great agony for their deed. Becoming a Christian does not guarantee a safe life free of pain and tragedy. It guarantees that you will have God to help you through your sorrows and that you will be in paradise at the end of your life.
