 Eden
Where was Eden?  Is it still there?  Why is Eden important?
Eden: Was or is the name of a region in southern Mesopotamia. The name is derived from the Sumerian word meaning, "fertile plain."  In the Hebrew language we can also find a similar sounding word that means "delight".  According to the Bible descriptions Eden or what is called "the garden in Eden'", was a fantastic and wonderful garden of delight.

It's geographical location as described in the Bible, in the book of Genesis is of two places Eden and it's garden, seems to be near the head of the Persian Gulf, where the Tigris and the Euphrates join with two others streams to form a single river. There are geological traces of two fossil rivers from that time frame entering from east and west of the Persian Gulf, conjectured to be the Pishon and Gihon.
If you take an air view photograph it is said that there are ghost looking like rivers near there. Meaning that the outline of rivers has been visible from the air.
Four rivers are mentioned they are: Pishon, Gihon, Tigris, Euphrates. There are also three regions Havilah, Assyria, and Kush.

It says in the Bible that Eden's garden had the tree of life, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Many explorer's have been searching for the tree of life but unable to find it.
Information found in the Bible:“ And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became four heads. The name of the first is Pishon; that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; and the gold of that land is good; there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon; the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Cush. And the name of the third river is Tigris; that is it which goeth toward the east of Asshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. ”
— Genesis 2:10-14

According to the Bible is the primary location of God's creation. God created the male first  molding him out of the dust of the earth and named him Adam, later on he created the female out of Adam's ribs and named her Eve.  God blessed them  both and told them to be fruitful and multiple. God placed both persons in the garden to tend and keep it. Obviously there was an abundance of food trees and vegetation that could feed Adam, Eve and future off springs God placed both persons in the garden to tend and keep it.
Humankind seed started from Adam and Eve.

The "Garden of Eden" was to be our home while Adam and Eve lived there and as long as they did not disobey God's commandment of eating from the "tree of god and evil." But as we all know, there was a fly in the ointment and that was, the darn "Serpent", who lied to Eve and brought her to sin against God. Once Eve lost her sanctity she convinced Adam to partake in her sin. When God found out they got booted out!

Hi,
I've been on a little break because my dad passed away on Friday.
I don't know what his spiritual condition was. There was some minister stopping by his room though.

Anyways, I kind of wonder about something here.

A couple of weekls ago, I was telling my mom that I didn't think I believe that Adam ate the fruit after Eve did. (I know, I'm alway throwing a wrench in peoples doctrines. Ha ha ha!) I think they ate together.
It doesn't say that he ate it after she did. That has only been the assumption.
I would really like to hear the Jewish teachings on this.

Here our my reasons:
1. If Eve knew that she was naked, why wouldn't she be hiding herself from Adam & God? (unless their eyes weren't opened until they heard the voice of God; I don't know, maybe).

2. Why would she eat without him? Wouldn't she want to wait?

Hi tarabbac1: I am very sorry to hear of your father's passing away. I lost my father a few years back and I thank God my sister got him to accept the Lord at the end. If there was a minister with your dad chances are so did your dad. Did you asked your mother? Can you get in touch with the pastor that was with him? If you cannot get any earthly answers ask God. He will tell you! Concerning your other comments, they are very good. I must dwell on them and get back to you. Again, Sorry for your loss! :}
