On what or whom can you have confidence today? Your job, your marriage, your children, love relationships, government, health, money, status? How disappointed you will be if your confidence on any of these will fail you. Is not hard to notice that you can be gorgeous looking movie star and within a year of illness you look cadaverous, age can rob you of good looks, gain some weight and see how fast the Hollywood vultures and tabloid magazines will cut you down to pieces. Loose your wealth and notice your friends of a life time who still have some money disappear from your sight. They won't even call upon you in fear you ask them for a loan or worse yet that they will be compare to you. You have ceased to be one of "them" and you are now one of "those"
But my confidence is in some one who won't walk out on me when the going gets rough. He won't desert me on times of need. He will visit with me, talk to me, hold me close to his bosom, whispers in my ear, "I am here for you and you are not alone"
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those who love Your name be joyful in You.
For you , O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You
will surround him as with a shield.
