All civilizations carry a tradition of a golden age. An age of triumph. They thought it would last for a thousand years. Like everything in life it came into an end swiftly before their very eyes. The presumption because you are strong, mighty, had won every war does not guarantee survival. Another civilization is waiting it's turn to be born and dethrone yours. So, it happened with the Romans who once conquered most of the known world, the Greeks, Persia and so on.
In the beginning when our creator made man out of dust he was to live forever. The tree of life was in the garden along with the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It was through a woman that we are in the state we are in. It was also through a woman that a man was born to give us the chance we never had to have a relationship with our creator. An Angel of Light came down from the great Throne of Light to a Virgin female. It announced to her the plan of salvation by the birth of a male child who would be the son of God, the Messiah. She has a choice. She was not married and been with child and not married was courting death in her life time. But this woman accepted our creator's plan without resistance.
By this woman, Mary, Light came into the world in a form of a child. Evil men tried to destroy him but failed. A good man, Joseph, stood by her side and help her out and became her husband. But he did not have sex with her while she was with child with the Lord Jesus. Children come into the world as a result of love, of violent crime of rape or incest. This was not the case. This child came into the world in all purity. There was love but it was not the love between a man and a woman. It was the love of God towards his creation and the desire to have us get to know him, love him, accept him and his love and the sacrifice of his only son. What more can humanity want from God in order to redeem us. He has given his only begotten son to show us the magnitute of his love for us.
It was a free act that man committed and resulted in the fall of humanity. So it had to be a free act on Mary's part to accept God's plan for redemption of humanity. God could have ignored man and just cast us away from him forever. But it would have been a justice violation of his loving nature. Adam and Eve deserved what lot they got for they knew the law. But their descendant didn't. So, been a fair God he had to do something and the only thing that could bring harmony to the world was for someone to come from eternity in heaven and be born as a mortal man. Precisely that was when Jesus Christ was born. It was the start of a new earth, a new humanity.
"Today in the city of David a deliverer has been born to you--the Messiah, the Lord. Bible Luke 2:11
The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and he shall be called Emmanuel, a name which means God is with us. Matthew 1:23 She will bear a son; and you shall give him the name Jesus (Savior), for he will save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21
These and many other prophecies came true about Jesus birth. Even the fallen angel confessed that Jesus is the son of God. This evil spirit said to Jesus, "What do you want with me, Jesus, son of the Most High God?." Bible: Mark 5:7
Spiritual salvation came to the world in the form of a child name Jesus. Man now had the opportunity to decide on its own what his fate will be after death. It will be his choice to rise with the saint when the trumpets sound or stay asleep when the second judgement of the godless will come to be.
Jesus divine nature on earth came from the Lord Jehova, but his human nature had a Jewish background. His blood came from the line of the royal house of David. Mary though poor, belong to the lineage of the great king David, King of Israel.
Adam and Eve a sinful pair who are the parents of every living soul that existed and exist today. Out of that pair came Abraham, Moses and the Bible prophets. But to understand genealogy is to know that even though he came through that lineage he was not born into that lineage. He was not wholly produce by that and he was distinct. Jesus was born into it.
Jesus Christ is the son of God. By accepting this truth we become aware of our sins and the need to confess and repent of it. Jesus blood was spilled for my soul so that I can approach my father Jehova in complete confidence and know that I am loved. |
