 Church power
The church is to show all the love of Gods and son Jesus Christ.  It is to teach, present to any one who steps through its doors God love, mercy and forgiveness of sin.  Are we building Christ church or are we building our own church for us using Christ name as a logo.

Jesus told Peter in the Bible on verse 19, He was giving the keys of the kingdom to the church.  They keys represent authority and access to the kingdom of God.  But I don't think he was referring to a building of stone and brick, for the church is more than that.  Without the spirit filled born again Christ followers the church would be an empty building.  There seems to be that churches today are missing what Jesus told Peter about.  The kingdom of God does not only consist of words but in power.  So, do we see the power of the kingdom of God operating in churches today, or they just social halls for the masses.

What are the churches doing today?  Are they collecting bodies who cower in a holy little huddle of comfort?  Are they fighting any battles in the name of Christ?  The church should not exist for itself but for the kingdom.  The church is not the kingdom nor can it claim to be Jesus Christ on earth.  The kingdom of God is seeing in his creation.

The church should not be identified by the minister, but by Christ alone.  Worshipping, adoring a minister is the same as worshipping an idol, or statue.  A minister can be loved and respected in the natural way of Christ love but is not to be made the center of adoration and
going to church just to view, and honor the minister.  You go to church to show love, adoration and worshipped to the true and only son of God, Jesus Christ.  The vision of the church is to love, instruct, uphold, affirm the word of God and it's saving grace.

Open your door church and let people in no matter of race, color, creed or social status.  Don't cater only to your preselected saints and members.  Open the doors and let the sunshine of Gods love engulfed humanity in general.  Don't be an organization, a club and a legalistic house of humans.  Be what Christ  is and what Christ did while he was alive preaching the golspel of God to anyone who would listen.  Don't be insulated, isolated and marginalized.  Don't discard unbelievers with you judgements for many of your born again followers of Christ were once unbelievers.   The kingdom of God is ready for any person who would believe.

This is a very good commentary on the church opening up to unbelievers and accepting everyone right were they are and understanding that we all are sinners and judgement is reserved for God. We need to extend the peace that goes beyond all understanding and stand united against all attacks that don't coincide with the teachings of Jesus as well as feed the poor, love the sick and heal the downtroddened. We also need to get out and get our voices heard in the wilderness so that those lost can find their way into God's eternal love. It only takes repentance, belief in Jesus and his atonement for our sins and acceptance that God's grace is abundant and we are all made in His image.

Thanks for taking the time to share your belief with this community! The Kingdom of God is near!
