 Blame shifting
Why are people so quick to blame God for their own mistakes, errors in judgement and the evils of the world.  Shifting blame is a way to clear ourselves of all responsibilities.  We are our brothers keeper.  We share the world with each other and all the species that God in his great wisdom created.  We are the world, humans, animals, plants etc.  It is up to us to fix what ever is wrong.    Shifting blame to God and others does not help.  From the USA president to the town mayor shifting blames is an everyday thing.  Politicians are quick to blame others for their indifference, lack of motivation, wasteful money spending, and their own errors.

The question of "Why God allows things to happen?"  Should be rephrase to "Why do we as a humans allow things to happen"?  Of course there are somethings that we as humans have no capacity to stop nor resolve, such natural disasters. Concerning Earth's natural patterns, because we live in planet Earth that is constantly changing and is programed to do so.  Famine, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, man made wars can bring unexpected devastation.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans with such fury bringing death an despair to its population President Bush quickly Blame God.  We are used to seeing pictures in the media of all kinds of storm devastation upon our coastland cities.   But that wasn't what enfuriated so many Americans about what happen in New Orleans.  The images of all these suffering residents hit hard at home and so did the governmental human inaction.  We pay with our tax dollars for all the rescue agencies to do their job.  The questions should be, why did the government allow things to happen and not why God did.

We are also to blame if we choose to decide to build cities near the ocean and expect the ocean and the weather patterns to behave.  If we put ourselves in harms way we should expect to be hit with catastrophic incidents that will affect our daily lives.

The human race since starting with  Adam and Eve have takent control of our own lives and everything around us.  So, if we choose to control then we also choose to take care of things when they go wrong and not to blame God when bad things happen.

People are too egoistic and selfish to blame themselves for their own mistakes. It is always easier not to take responsibility and blame someone else. Unfortunately, I don't think that this attitude will ever change.
