If you expect someone to ask you to go to church then you're treating the church like another club.
The church is your home. You are a child of God and no one should stand in the doorway and stop you from going there.
Don't worry about what others think of you. There are those who think/say they are Christians but they aren't. Don't think of them; think of God and everything about Him. He loves you.

Go to church. Other religions will only burn you. You might think I am a closed-minded person and I probably am, but I firmly believe that the Bible is true and Jesus is the only way to God and Heaven.
Don't think of religion as something you'll be living your life by until you die. Maybe you can classify religion as that. But Christianity is living your life for Christ here on earth and for eternity.
Think about the eternal consequences of the choice you're going to make. I'm not trying to scare you; I'm just telling you the truth because I'm required to and because I think it's important that you know.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. I'll do the best I can to answer them.

I did the same things many times looking for the perfect church. There is no perfect church. Some churches are just religious and that is man made and man center. Christians are God and Jesus center. In need of someone to care if you miss church or not the need for a smaller more God oriented church is needed but remember that people are still just that people.

It's important to feel welcome in whatever church you go to. However, the emphasis should be on whether or not what they preach and teach lines up with what is in God's Word, the Bible. Without naming a specific 'religion', I am of the Apostolic faith/belief.....The Books of John and Acts teach us how the Apostles believed and lived, what steps we must take to be saved......I take the Bible literally at it's word.
If you feel to find another church from the one you attended, my advice would be to visit several different churches, at least 3 times each, before making a decision as to which one is right for you.
I hope and pray that you do start going to church, again, soon. I believe there is a void in each of us, that only God can fill! God bless! :)
