Swine Flu, there I said it. I don't know about anyone else, but I practically bathe in hand sanitizer. Of course I did this well before the flu scare because of my neurotic personality - but that's not the point of this blog.
Obviously this thing's a big deal, so what a relief it was when they announced H1N1 flu shots. Hell yes!
But wait a second, there's a shortage, there's huge lines. MY GOD, WHO SHOULD GET THE SHOTS FIRST?!
This reminds me of back when the Titanic sank, and the methodology behind that was 'women and children first.' So what about in modern society?
Personally, I think children are top priority. Healthcare workers, elders, pregnant woman etc. So here's where the point of the blog comes in...
Should the members of parliament be given top priority too?
FUCK NO!
My blood began to SIZZLE when I watched a Canadian member of parliament on TV state that the members of parliament deserved to be one of the first to get the shot, because....
wait for it...
because they "shake a lot of hands."
wow... What an arguement. Cashiers handle dirty money, what's your point?
Dear Parliament, nice try but you're last in line with the rest of us.
