Time Keeps on Tickin'

Well, what can I say? Time has elapsed as time will do and now I find myself in week 4 of Spring II Semester.

Last semester went well though I did get a C in my Adult Development & Aging class because I didn't do the term paper. It was a decision.. a choice I made.. and I stand firmly behind it. Other "honor" students were appalled, stunned, and shocked... some even in denial at what I'd done, but oh well. My grade, right? I had A's through the whole class, Aced the midterm and pretty much Aced the final. So I got a C for not doing my term paper. I didn't do it because.. well.. I was unmotivated. Someone had plagiarized my stuff in that class and it took me three weeks of battling with that instructor for him to even admit the other guy had stolen my stuff (he hadn't even changed any of the words around, it was all just cut and pasted..how could you NOT know??? WTH?)... before he said he'd even do anything about it. I know he probably didn't do piddly-squat about it.. because he "knew" the guy. Oh.. okay then.. that makes it all alright. -rme- whatever. So I didn't do the term paper. You may think I was only hurting myself by doing so.. but I honestly didn't want to put anymore effort into that class. As long as I didn't fail it.. it was alright by me.

So my other two classes went off well. English 105 was good and the Human Sexuality class rocked. I got A's in both of those.

This semester I took a lighter work load. Or so I thought. My Introductory Geology class is pretty cool, but I had to be Ms. Brains Box and take a Beginning Programming class for multi-media projects. Sounds easy right? Wrrrrrr-ong! Lemme say this: ALICE sucks. I don't like it. Creating 3-D worlds is NOT my idea of fun. I will say the XHTML part of the course, I like. THAT is easy to me. I like that part a lot. But the ALICE? Someone please stuff her back down that flippin rabbit hole, thankyouverymuch.

What else.. -thinking-
Oh. My. Gods. We got a motorcycle. Can you say sweet? Mean? Tight? Sweet Ride? -shivers- It's a Yamaha Road Star Midnight Silverado 1700. Black. Chrome. -faints- The ride is so tight.. and man does he look yummy on that bike. Makes me swoon just to think about it. Hubba Hubba. Anyway, we've gone to a rally (no bike) and on a bike run (with bike, of course!)... and now we're hoping to make the Texas get-together in September. Doing anything like that takes $$$ because they usually do the whole camping thing. So that means, tents.. chairs... food... the whole camping kit-n-kaboodle. So we're hoping to be able to go by September. Yay.

The weather has been great. We had a cold front move through (where I got a terrible cold), so it's been rather chilly in the morning but during the day it's been lovely. Today is beautiful... the Rio Grande is full and flowing.. simply gorgeous.

I think that's it for now. Time for me to get that ALICE programming done. Oh. Joy.
