 The Dance
I found myself in a ballroom which was pitch black except for moonlight which crept in through the cracks of the curtain. My eyes darted over the many tables which with the right glance seemed like an endless row of tables. The silverware and napkins placed neatly on each round table. But something caught my eye. At the table in the far back sat a woman. Her hair was chestnut brown which ran down her slender yet curved frame. Even though we were a ballroom apart, I could still describe just how beautiful her eyes were. A deep light blue which almost seemed to glow. You just wanted to jump in and die in her waves. The woman closed her eyes and when she did it felt as if someone had turned off what little light we had. Pitch black. I started breathing heavier and began walking, using my hands to feel for the tables. Suddenly there were no tables. I kept turning around, faster and faster in the dark. The lights all kicked on at once creating a flash in the ballroom which lasted a good 4 seconds. As my eyes adjusted, i could see the people around me dancing. Dressed as if we were in the 1940's. The band was playing like it was their last performance ever. I started walking backwards til my back hit the door, it seemed as if everyone was staring at me. I quickly turned and opened the door. Standing outside i noticed all the old cars and I noticed her. I ran across the parking lot.

Adam: Excuse me?

As I ran closer her beauty began to truly show. She stood their examining me with her eyes, smoking a cig.

Woman: Come here

I took a step forward nervously.

Woman: Come closer

I took one more step, now an arm length away. She smiled. Leaned in and kissed me and took one last puff of her cigarette. Quickly she darted off into the woods and vanished into the night.
