Ok. I am throughly irritated right at this moment; and rather than take it out on some undeserving soul; I'll put my temporary pain here for the whole internet world to read.
We just got out of a meeting with the sales team and I can say for certain that I am far from satisfied. As a team; we all need to work together in order to meet a goal; needless to say we fell far short of this goal. The way I'm feeling right now is that certain people are held to certain standards and others (like me) have more expected of them. Some people on the team are just kida sliding by; and then there are the people that are the hard workers. Well, the problem is that the hard-workers are being held accountable for the slackers activity; or more accurately; LACK of activity, while the slackers sit around and take all the credit for the hard-workers' efforts. On top of it; our deal count here was nearly 30 less than the goal.
Well, Shee-it; what does a team player do. For example, there is the one girl that comes in late EVERY SINGLE DAY and sits around and surfs the internet and chats with her married boyfriend ALL DAMNED DAY! This girl and I have had a long history of heated exchanges back and forth; yet the company STILL refuses to get rid of her; even though she is costing the company more money than she is making it. I want to walk up to her and literally punch her in her face every time I walk by and see her chatting with her BF. (Did I mention that she is constantly IM'ing her MARRIED BF?)
Anyway. I know what I have to do now. And I feel much better. See? It worked. :)

Venting here is a safe way to get rid of all that frustration.
It is hard to carry the slackers weight.
It is not fair.
Happy venting.

Oh I've been there, in fact, I'm still there right now, it's just not that bad right now. But that one girl should be fired!
Take care,

Who are we to judge, right?:P Seems like all this heat trying to become something momentous and fruitful is directed at one co-worker more than anyone or anything else. A personal, deep-seeded resentment for some apparent or maybe not so apparent reason. I can't even be certain what your work is to understand the issue of loss or failure here. Talk about slipping out of that mode of self-everything-good:P What happenned to being content with oneself and self-awareness and all those other tools for not being bogged down and stressed in this world? I think when it all boils down, we are still HUMAN and subject to the same failings. So, before we get too high up the mountain of the almighty guru thinking we have reached a higher plain of existence, let's make sure either we accept our human flaws/failings(which may or may not defeat that ascent) or remember to shed that baggage.
Personally, I could complain about a number of people/co-workers. I have to listen to THEIR complaints or cheating in this world way too often. To me, this is all just traffic. Good and bad come and go. Sometimes they honk their horns or give us a shake. The best I can do is to either put up with it or move on. If I can find a better path of which I can manage traversing, I'm hopefully heading onto that road. Til then, tolerance and patience. I am not the boss of these people. And, if I was, would I lash down upon them with godly rage or have to analyze their case with a slightly different objective eye(perhaps not of my own as I am ALSO guided by an even higher figure in the business).
Think about it.

Another side of the coin. We see insects and other pests around us. We find certain people with which we encounter to be pests as well. And, we ask ourselves, "What is the purpose of these? What value do they have in this world?" Again, who are we to judge the value or purpose of the most bothersome insect? Perhaps, like everything else, it is there for a reason we cannot yet see. In time, maybe we will understand more.

So, essentially you are saying that because I STRIVE to become apart of a higher plain or design; I'm not allowed to be upset when someone/something is bothering me? NO, that is never what I ever stated. I never stated I was any better than anyone else; I was simply doing something that every human has a right to do: VENT. Thats what thoughts.com is for, right?
Let's consider this scenario. YOUR income goes towards helping pay the salary for this person. YOUR income contributes to the lights, phone bill, internet that this person most obviously abuses. Now, think for a moment about this scenario. This person has been a dragging dead weight for 8 months straight; trying to catch an easy buck every moment that they move; and on top of that they frequently fall waaaay below their goals every month for production and continues to cost the company money, no matter the fact that she has gotten all the support necessary to thrive. All the other people on the sales team have been provided the same exact opportunities and they have all thrived; therefore, does that not lead one to discern that this person probably isn't a team player? Can you honestly say that as the team leader of this person; after 8 months of spinning your wheels with this person; that you wouldn't be just a tiny-bit frustrated with them? Maybe you'd have a human reaction to them basically flaunting their blatant disregard for the well-being of the company, and themselves? It's not being judgemental; it is being frustrated in a reactive way. There is a BIG difference!!
Also, I have NEVER said that it is good for anyone to repress their negative emotions; rather I've always said quite the opposite. It is far better to accept and observe your negative energies and work through them so that they don't transmutate into violence or worse. This is simply what this blog was about; observing my human emotion so that I could move on into a proactive measure. But thank you again, Brainstormer, for pointing out the fact that I am a human just the same as this person I've posted about in my blog and over-analyzing every minute detail as you have so flawlessly done on my numerous other blogs.
Have a wonderful day!

I understand your frustration. I think we have all been there done that. People like you raise the bar, and others are holding you to you own standards. You will get the rewards sooner or later. Just remember to not lower your standards.
It is nice to blog so you can sort things out before you punch someone in the face. Good for you.
Make it a great day!

I think if all business people had your work ethic...their businesses would blow through the roof in productivity.
It is always okay to be frustrated with someone who will not do their best.
I think that if you are going to do anything at all...do it right...or do not do anything at all.
Venting is good for the soul..it actually helps us reach that higher plain.
I admire your work ethic.
