As most of you know, I have a wonderful man in my life. His name is Dion, (or to some, 'Mysta'). Dion and I met at work (of course). We worked together for months, knowing very well who the other was (we worked in separate departments). Dion was suffering some tough times, and I was working myself out of a relationship. Dion asked me to attend a after-work soiree of sorts LOL at the Fox and the Hound. This was, I believe around the middle of February 2006. We knew that there was a spark pretty much from that night on. Dion ended up selling Credit Card Processing Service for a Independent Office and I got moved to another dept. within the company that we met. Probably the only good thing about that company was that I met Dion there. LOL :P
Dion and some friends decided to start up an Independent Sales Office and Dion pursued me for months to join him in his quest. I, of course, thought he was completely out of his mind at first, but as many of your know, Dion is very pursuasive-he is in Sales after all. LOL. So finally, about May of 2006, I decided to take that first plunge with him and decided to assist in the creation of a sales organization. Little did I know the insanity that would ensue. LOL Shortly after we started working together again, Dion and I decided to move in together.
We fought and clawed together, some times stood against each other, but I feel that those times were, in essence, 'trial by fire'. Dion and I have spent probably more time together running a business together than we have in any other area in our life, and still, we just cannot get enough of one another. The longer and deeper that our bond is cultivated, the more intense and focused it becomes. I honestly feel like I finally have some one that accepts me completely for who I am; faults and all; and strives to help me improve upon not only my faults, but most of all, my strengths. Ironically enough, I feel more free than ever, even though I am bonded with this man. Through it all, we always dreamt of better times, while having the best times of our lives together. And Dion knows how to make a woman feel like a Queen.
Which brings me to the point of this email. Last night, I celebrated a co-b.day party. A very good friend of mine, Kelli, (of Kelli*Said) and I share the same birthday. The place was Cricket On the Hill. The line-up was Keli*Said, Wanker, and Blind Exit. Tons of Friends ensued. LOL My last b.day I got a kitten and was in bed by 9 PM. (That's a whole different subject.) Kelli*Said stopped in the middle of their set; and Dion and I are summoned to the stage. I thought I was going to get my b.day spankings. LOL What I got was even better. In the room full of friends and some strangers, Dion was down on one knee. A lot of you that are reading know what happened next.
So...
Dion and I have set a date to be married. I am proud to announce this date is Friday, February 13th, 2009. Whoot!
Good night! :)
