Once upon a time in a land far away, lived a beautiful girl, Kayla, and her handsome little brother, Aidenn. They lived in a house as plain and simple as can be, just them and no one else, or so it seemed to be. Soon they would discover a secret that would turn their bones icy cold, because in the house lived an entity of the darkest kind.
“Brother of mine, where art thou?” Kayla said aloud. “Meal time has arrived upon this hour of dark and beckons us to reply.”
“Don’t fret sister of mine; I humbly answer to this hour of time.” Aidenn replied to his sister.
With those few words said, Kayla and Aidenn went and sat down at the table and enjoyed their meal. Most people think that during this meal, the family would reflect on what had happened throughout the day, but sadly during this specific meal, not a word was said, all that could be heard was the tick-tock of the clock and the occasional tree branch scratching against the window. Surely something interesting would happen after dinner if not during it.
“I sincerely thank thee for the wonderful meal thy sister.” Aidenn declared.
“You’re welcome.” Kayla replied rather bluntly to her younger brother.
“I feel quite sleepy, I think I’ll go upstairs and ready myself for a peaceful slumber.” Aidenn said.
Slowly and quietly, Aidenn crept his way upstairs to his room, but for some odd reason he got a feeling that someone was watching him. Every breath he took, every step he walked, every second that passed. The way up to Aidenn’s bedroom was a dark and shadowy journey. Without the trick to the eye, all Aidenn and Kayla saw were shadows and not what was really concealed in them. Slowly, but eventually, Aidenn fell asleep and a little while later, Kayla fell asleep as well, but as they slept and dreamed, they were blind to what would happen the next day.
12:00pm, the time of truth.
Kayla and Aidenn have awoken earlier than usual, but like always they get washed up, dressed, and then head downstairs to the kitchen to eat breakfast, or in their case lunch. Like every meal that they have, not a word was said to each other, but after breakfast/lunch, it was a totally different story.
“Beautiful sister of mine, I seemed to have noticed something as we ate that has got me to wonder what you did hate.” Aidenn said to his sister rather bluntly.
“What is it handsome brother of mine?” she replied.
“On your wrist there are cuts, why would you do such a thing to yourself?” Aidenn said.
“Sorry if I seem like I’m in a stupor, but I have no idea about what you seem to be talking about,” Kayla said, so she looked at her wrists and sure enough there were dozens of small cuts all across her wrists.
1:00pm, the time of surprise.
Kayla and Aidenn thought about how she could have possibly of got those cuts on her wrists for a full half an hour. Soon Kayla began to wonder if the same thing had happened to Aidenn.
“Aidenn my handsome brother, let’s look at your wrists and see if the same thing happened to you that happened to me,” Kayla said to Aidenn.
Aidenn looked at his wrists and his heart skipped a beat because of what he saw. On his wrists were small cuts similar to Kayla’s. Again, they decided to think about what could have caused these cuts to appear.
2:00pm, the time of solving.
Kayla suggested that they put there wrists by one another to see if the cuts were similar. What they saw actually surprised them because all of the small cuts spelled out a message, possibly a warning.
Time is short,
So you should make it great.
Watch out where you go.
The darkness is your fate.
Down you float,
To the Plutonian Shore.
Become the past,
A person no more.
This is your destiny,
As horrible as can be.
3:00pm, the time of wondering.
Kayla and Aidenn spent a lot of time trying to cipher exactly what it was that the message was trying to tell them. They didn’t know if they should heed it or if they should just simply ignore it, but this thinking went on for an astounding two hours.
5:00pm, the time of mourning.
As the sky began to turn to a deathly black color, Kayla and Aidenn began to feel fearful for what would happen when the sky turned fully black. All the shadows that would linger and dance in the light from the candles they lit at night. Most of the things that could be heard was Kayla and Aidenn’s heart beats, their breathing, and the splash of one of their many tears hits the ground.
6:00pm, the time of decision.
Knowing not what can happen within a given time can literally drive a person insane. This is definetly what happened to Kayla and Aidenn. Shadows can begin looking like the devil's grinning face, while trees can start looking like wart covered witches.
