I love your blog! This is somewhat my story as well. Isn't it amazing how God takes us back even after we left him? Thanks for sharing your story!

A lot of times we (even us old guys) serve the Lord with less then right motives and our reward is instant and fleeting. Certainly there is nothing wrong with possessions, our looks or how others perceive us necessarily. Again it depends on motives and motives take time to discover, we have to grow and mature some, some rebellion, some independance is inescapable and you must go there to get here, so to speak. Don't be too hard on yourself, learn life's lessons and move on because we have a loving and forgiving God who understands us better than we will ever understand ourselves. We've all been there, I'm almost certain. God bless There is none good but God, Jesus said.
