| Life: Unaccording to Plan |
It’s funny how you have your whole life planned out from the beginning, when suddenly everything turns out as far as it can be from your “blueprint”.
I remember the “path” I wanted to take when I was a kid.
1.) Finish college (with whatever course I wanted)
2.) Have a steady girlfriend during #1
3.) Marry and have kids
and 4.) Be rich
I was satisfied with myself that time, because at 9 years old, who would have known I’d even be thinking about those things? In the years that passed, everything was turning out great, but fate suddenly took control.
I had to stop school, for reasons I couldn’t change. So step #1 on my “Greatest Plan Ever” was botched.
To add something worse, I still wasn’t able to have a steady girlfriend (I’ve had some good relationships but, as I said, it didn’t last long. I don’t know why but my relationships usually don’t last very long. Some girls would give me reasons for not wanting to continue, and some girls flat out just tell me NO. (Yeah, Ouch. No hard feelings, though). So I guess you can cross out #2.
I was really pissed off that I had to stay at home and do nothing. I was trying to be busy, when fate, deciding to be on my side, gave me a call. Literally. It was for a job!
I went and did the preliminaries, but wasn’t accepted. Fate decided to leave me hanging. I didn’t pass the job test.
I was near depression.
No job.
No girl.
F***.
I didn’t really look for another job, which turned out to be a good decision, because the same company called and told me that they’d reconsider my score.
Ecstatic as I was, I was also having newfound doubt in my abilities. I was having second thoughts about going to the next step, the final interview. But thankfully, I did and the interviewer told me that I did great and that she’d like me to pass the requirements ASAP so I would be able to start immediately.
Not bad for Destiny!
Now, I’m on training, and I’m enjoying my work. Plus, I have a teammate who sparked my interest. Here’s hoping she’d feel the same too (even though she’s older).
Now, let’s change my “Greatest Plan Ever” to the “Plan I Currently Have”.
1.) Be successful and have a career with my current job.
2.) Have a steady girlfriend on the way to #1
3.) Be rich
4.) Marry and have kids
How about that??
Now I know that this can also change, hence the name. All I need to do is know what I want, and adjust it to what I need.
