Finally had a chance to sit down with my new supervisor Brad to go over my new role after the demotion, and yes it is a demotion. I want to keep the blogs running as a journal just to see how long it takes for me to recover.
My job now is to be the assistant to the acount exec's and to help everyone out whereever's needed. That includes taking over Carlos maintenance and utility duties such as cleaning, packaging, delivery, and mail room duties. Running errands for everyone including the office girls. Although this sucks, its a living for now and I don't have to empty the garbage and clean windows etc like Carlos used to do. I do have the coffee duty and responsible for maintaining the break area also.
I spent yesterday typing and sending out letters to my former clients, informing that their accounts will be serviced by another account exec's and that I will be providing them the technical service. Guess that is my last responsibility as an account rep.
I will start looking for a new job and have already sent out a few feelers and filled out several applications online last night. I guess I need to make an effort and keep trying. There is not much here in a small town. Moving is not an option right now as I just signed a new lease couple months ago and breaking the lease would be way too costly.
With the rent payment and the new car payment, I also have to continue on my second job in the restaurant. After the grand opening day on new years day, I am now scheduled to work saturdays and sundays, me and another busboy (Chad on saturday and kyle on sunday, i think). If that first day is any indication, money isn't too bad, although can be better if i'm a server.
anyway, just want to enter this into the blog and go from here and see what develops, hopefully in the coming weeks and no longer. |
