Why I don't write poems

Bangs Bangs go away.
I need a major haircut these days.

Tired and drained time after time
Busting my ass to make that dime

I hate writing poems so I’m confused as why
On this Tuesday morning I’m giving it a try

Sitting watching the news for it’s the same old thing
Glancing down I notice my wedding ring

I quickly turn my eyes for I hate to see
What a fool he is making me be

But we aren’t getting into that again now are we?
Absolutely not, I must stay focused so that I may see…

Today I’ll work and watch people come and go
With the nonchalant attitude of a major “So?”

Talk to me about something that matters and catches my heart
Write me a letter or draw me some art

Either way, like I said before, I hate writing poems
Today…and forevermore.

Poetry is not everybodys forte, but, it "can" be
developed through practice. If you like it, go for it...
