| Slumber Party with the King

|
I invited the King over for a slumber party. This is how it went.
cell phone rings….
Ring. Ring.
Ki Sings: Hello? Is it me your looking for?
King laughs: Yes, it is. I’m at your door. Think you can open it for me?
Ki walks over to open door, still holding cell phone to ear…opens door. There is the King.
King: can we hang up now or should we still talk on phone?
Ki: let’s hang up
King: can I come in
Ki: Yes. I see you brought your pillows
King: I thought it would be the right thing to do. It’s my first slumber party. Should I have brought ones with pillow cases?
Ki: no
King: okay
Ki closes door …King stares at Ki
Ki: why do you look at me like that?
King: This is the way I look
Ki: oh, okay
Ki again -How did you get here
King: I’m not sure. I think I walked
Ki: did you enjoy your walk?
King: not really. The wife had to have the car though.
Ki: Where is your wife tonight?
King: She’s hanging out with the gecko
Ki: Oh he’s hot
King: I know
Ki: yeah
King: I brought some movies
Ki: Really? We can watch them after we have our make-over
King: What’s a makeover?
Ki: you know, where you put on make up and do each others hair.
King: My face is plastic. I can’t change it.
Ki: Okay, well you can put make up on me
King: I don’t want to
Ki: Oh
They continue to stare
King: I brought some movies
Ki: I know. You told me
King: oh
Ki: Want to have a pillow fight?
King: Is that what the pillows are for?
Ki: I guess. This is my first slumber party
King: mine too
Ki: I know
Ki grabs pillow from King and taps him with it.
King: Ouch
King grabs pillow back from Ki and taps her with it in face
Ki: I don’t like this game. Want to watch a movie?
King: yes. I brought some
Ki laughs at King.
Ki: what did you bring?
King: Lonesome Dove and Catch me if you can
Ki makes weird face at King. King continues to smile.
Ki: go home
King: This was fun. Thanks for having me over. Here have a whopper.
Ki: I don’t like whoppers.
King: Me either. Holla atcha boy.
King walks out door as Ki steals pillows before slamming door and laughing hysterically
lol I need to go to work. . . I have to much free time!

Margaritas are then served.
Ki drunk on Margaritas accepts job.

Metals are good conductors of electricity and heat, unlike non-metals. Although electrons constitute a major component of both, the nature of the
Freedom.
While in non-metals the electrons are not free, in metals there are both free and non-free (bound) electrons. The free electrons are responsible for most of the distinguishing properties of metals.
There is the value of freedom in material bodies. Its importance is no less in life. If a person is asked to choose between wealth and freedom, a rational man would probably choose the latter. The history of civilisation is the progress from bondage to freedom. Indeed the richness of a civilisation depends on the degree of freedom enjoyed by the people.
Freedom is synonymous with positive energy, whereas bondage represents negative energy. Just as a material particle can be excited from a bound to a free state by acquiring energy, a person can acquire freedom from bondage by acquiring energy.
A person can lose freedom by losing energy. What is the source of this energy? Education liberates. It creates self-confidence, courage, equanimity and fair-play in a person. It releases us from ignorance and paves the way for knowledge. It takes us from darkness to light. It gives hope when we are in despair.
Freedom is related to necessity. If our necessities are ignored, we do not enjoy freedom. Anybody can think freely. However, if the society or state imposes constraints in translating thoughts into action, it deprives us of our freedom. If we are not responsible, freedom is of little value.
No one is entirely free or wholly bound. Every one of us enjoys some degree of freedom and is bound in some way or other. Just as opposites coexist in nature, we also have both freedom and bondage. Bondage, rather freedom, binds us together, be it in the family, in society or in a larger entity like the country. In a broader sense, there is universal freedom. Bondage resulting from love and affection, gratitude and sense of duty is a virtue. Sometimes we are bound by laws and rules. We accept this as our duty.
It is the bondage among constituents, rather than their freedom, which is responsible for the stability of a material, too. The science of materials can show how bondage, combined with freedom, leads to extraordinary situations. Freedom of electrons is the cause of electrical conductivity in metals. However, if this freedom results from bondage, then it can give rise to superconductivity of infinite current. Superconductivity sets in when two free electrons of certain opposite quantum characteristics bind together.
Indic philosophy suggests that a soul becomes absolutely free, when it, the jeevatma, binds wholly or is in perfect union with the super-soul, the paramatma. This statement leads to knowledge which proclaims that absolute bondage manifests in absolute freedom. The scientific example appears to be a close congruence of this, though there might be different perceptions.
The relationship between freedom and bondage can be scientifically understood within the uncertainty principle of quantum theory, which states that confinement increases kinetic energy. For example, if we wish to locate an electron by using the particle of light-photon, as a probe, it hits the electron, which runs away. Confinement stands for bondage and kinetic energy leads to freedom. It is justified spiritually on the basis of what Krishna says to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita: "Abandoning all other activities, come into my fold (bondage); I shall free you from all worldly bondages."
