| A Little About Myself (#1) |
hello everyone! My Name is Mark, and I'm a sophomore in High School. I'm writing this post to introduce myself to the Thoughts.com community and to give you a little taste of my problems. Let me begin by describing myself, I'm 6"3, 160lbs, with very little muscle. I wear pretty weird clothing compared to everyone else, it's mostly band t-shirts and a tight or tighter-fitting pair of pants. I have short blonde/brown hair that gets dirty very quickly but it's incredibly soft. My eyes are ever changing colors. the may be dark brown at one point in time and green the next and then green brown. mostly, they're dark green though. Here's my musical taste:
I'm really into Van Halen (not so much Van Hagar). An abridged list of some of my favorite bands follow: Iron Maiden, Peter Frampton, Boston, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Dethklok, Steve Vai, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Notorious B.I.G. and many others. I'm sure I'm forgetting some big names but I'm not going to fill up a page with all bands. I am a musician, and I take after many of the musicians I listen to the most. Eddie Van Halen is my hero, and as a guitarist, my main influence for playing even though I write songs influenced by my friend Zach. He really got me into writing virtuosic and mellow sounding bits. Even though AC/DC isn't up there and they should be, Angus Young is my 2nd favorite guitarist. His feel, energy, and emotion are unrivaled and I hope to transplant that into my own playing style.
I'm a normal teenager with an abnormal set of problems involving Love, Money, Friends, Parents, School...the list goes on. I'm not going to delve into any problems here because that would spoil you coming back to read my blog.
My favorite things to do are top hang out with my friends, watch baseball, play volleyball, and listen to Music. My favorite ball players are David Wright, Prince Fielder, Ryan Braun, and Tim Lincecum. I play volleyball for my school and am playing club this year as well as my seasons almost over. I started 3 games in my first year as a right side hitter but was replaced by someone who the coach thinks is better than me, even though they aren't.
