So today I signed up for this place to blog...
I wanted some place where I can just sit and write down (or type I guess) my thoughts and feelings over the coming months where no one knows me, where I can just be me without having to censor what I want to say because maybe I don't want friends or family to know what I am saying....
Now maybe you may or may not be wondering why I want to hide out, or maybe you already completely understand because you do the same thing...
I think the next couple months (at least) are going to be very hard... but being who I am... the one everyone counts on in my family, the one who takes care of everyone, the one who hides her feelings as much as possible so that other people don't worry as much... it just sucks sometimes to be that one in a family.
I found out yesterday - after several weeks of testing, waiting and worrying - that my dad has cancer. I guess if you can call it lucky... he was lucky that he got prostate cancer, which has a high cure rate. Now we just need to again sit back and WAIT for more testing to be done. They have to make sure that he doesn't have cancer anywhere else... then go from there.
It's just hard... that horrible C word... it's a bad word... one of the worst words out there... it has already taken so many people in my family... I just hate it!!!
