| My birthday and an introduction |
I'm having a good day. Today is my 27th birthday. I lazed around in bed with my jammies on all day watching the 2nd season of Angel, and listening to The Lords of the North by Bernard Cornwell. Both awesome things to do.
I didn't go to church today for the first time is 3 months or so. It made my Sunday kind of empty, but my back hurt too much and I can't drive with the medicine I'm on for it. I always enjoy going to church, it's kind of like a tropical island in the midst of the chaos that is my life. And my friends there are wonderful. The Relief Society sisters are wonderful and we are a very close-knit group. The guys are pretty cool too, but the sisters ROCK!!!
I'm loving school again this quarter, my second quarter in my studies to be a veterinary technician. I managed to get all A's last quarter, so I'm going to try for it again. My classes are pretty cool, though sometimes I wonder about my Hospital Principles teacher and if she's qualified to teach the class. When course review time comes around at the end of the quarter, I'm going to tell the truth, about how she doesn't know which bones in the foot go horizontally and which ones go vertically, and how she had to leave the classroom to find out what the lay term for a disease was. Sometimes I feel more qualified than her after reading the book! And I've been the only person in the class that has all the assignments done when the syllabus says they are due. Oh, and the teacher doesn't give us quizzes that are posted on the syllabus. It's only the 4th week and I'm really frustrated with her. I've got to put up with this for 10 weeks total. Grrrr.
I need to to to bed, it's late and I have school tomorrow. Good night.
