Life on November the 7th: Good
Today has been pretty good so far.  I've been doing homework a lot of the day, and finished about half of what I wanted to get done today.  That's good!

I read a little bit out of a book I'm reading, that I hadn't read out of in a while.  Its an excellent book, but its not an easy read, and a very big book.  I've been working on it for a couple of years now.  I know that sounds a little weird, but I read several books at once, so I rotate my reading according to what kind of book I feel like reading at the time.  I have five books going right now: Sarum by Edward Rutherfurd (the book I read today), Eldest by Christopher Paolini, The Last Time I Was Me by Cathy Lamb, and The Lords of the North by Bernard Cornwell, and (you'll laugh, and yes I am a fan) New Moon by Stephanie Meyer.  Believe it or not, I actually can keep track of what is going on in all of them.  I may not be able to tell you, but when I pick it up and start reading I can remember what has happened and what the characters are doing.  I love reading, its one of my favorite things to do.  I like audio books too.  Lords of the North is an audio book that I got from the library.  You can get a hard copy of it too, which I'd like as well, but I love listening to the audio books of this series.  This one is the third book in the series, and they've had the same actor read all three so far, and he does different voices and accents.  He reads it wonderfully and is very animated.  I still have to get my hands on the newest one, the fourth one.  The series is called The Saxon Chronicles, and its awesome!!  Very thrilling and action packed.  Its about the goings on of a young warrior in the ninth century, when the Norsemen were invading England, and King Alfred was on the throne.  Its basically a historical fiction, but a very exciting one!  Battles galore.  Like I said, an excellent series.

Well, the rest of the day is planned out too.  There is a Relief Society training meeting tonight at church, and I'm planning on going.  I'm not sure exactly what we're doing, but I'm trying to find a ride.  I'm still on the medicine for my back, so I still can't drive.  I'm pretty excited about it!  I absolutely love Relief Society.  Then at 6:30 or 7:00 Andi is coming over to hang out.  Should be a good rest of the day.  I just hope my back doesn't hurt too much.

Speaking of, my back is much better!  I took my muscle relaxer this morning, but no pain meds.  I lasted until 11:30 without them and I got up at 6:45!  That's wonderful!!  Looks like it is muscle spasms after all!  I love it!

I've been reading more of the conference Ensign, and it just continues to be more and more awesome!  I'm not going to go a lot into it now, but its very thought-provoking and wonderful.  Very inspiring.  I love it!

I can't remember if I already blogged this, but yesterday James and I got a package from our Uncle Brian and Aunt June (mom's brother) with birthday presents!  They got me a Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD, and its one of the ones I picked out of the LDS catalog that I wanted to get!  Oh its beautiful!  Even if you aren't Mormon, you have to admit we have a good choir.  Look them up on you tube, and you'll agree.  They do sing non-gospel songs.  I have a recording of them singing  The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and Somewhere (from West Side Story), among others.  I also ordered a few things yesterday with birthday money from my grandparents: another CD, some pamphlets, and the Gospel Art Book.  All in all, the order was $20.  Wonderful!  I can't wait to get them.  When I get my financial aid check, there are a few more things that I want to get.

Hopefully my financial aid check will come soon.  I have a lot of stuff I need to do with it.  I need to get my car fixed, I need to pay tithing for the rest of the year, I need to pay a bunch of bills that are past due/in collections.  Then I'm giving myself a $200 allowance for getting whatever I want, and some of that will be stuff from the LDS catalog.  CD's and movies mostly, but stuff out of the catalog runs pretty cheap.  They only charge what it takes to make the item, the pay for the workers, and shipping costs, no profit earned.  There's a four movie set for Christmas that I want to get, and it costs five dollars!  It has Mr. Kruger's Christmas on it, and if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.  It's not very churchy, just about Mr. Kruger and what his dreams of Christmas are.  Mr. Kruger is played by none other than Jimmy Stewart!  I love Jimmy Stewart!!  He's an awesome actor.

I haven't heard back from my potential ride to the Relief Society meeting tonight....  I hope I get a ride....
