Recently I decided to fire my childhood friends. I have known them for most of my life, but I realized that our relationships were killing me slowly. It was nice to recall past occurances together, but the negativity and gossip that came along with it was brutal. I'd call seeking counsel for problems that I had and would hang up feeling more depressed and drained than before.
I am taking it a LOT better than I imagined, and I have already met some awesome new people.
When you find yourself at a crossroad between the good-ole past and creating a better future...choose the future. You already lived your childhood, and you have those memories to treasure. But, if spend your days dwelling on the past, your present oppurtunties and potential accomplishments will never be manifested.
