 When?
Do you ever wonder when it is exactly that you became an adult?  When did we stop being a kid and having the free spirit, the invincible feeling of I can do anything!
Where did it go?

It must have been when I moved out of my parents house at 16?
Did I grow up when I graduated?
Maybe it was when I got my first job?
Surely it was when I no longer had to ride my bike where I needed to go, I could just get in my car and drive?
Perhaps, it was when I started getting bills in my name?
Hmm, it could have been when I realized what a credit score really meant, what it allowed you to do, what it said no to when your credit was bad.
Maybe I became an adult the first time I got my heart broken?
or maybe, just maybe --------- it was a combination of all those things that helped me grow up a little at a time.  A gradual progression if you will.  I really think I became a full fledged adult the second I became a mother.  I know that the silliness of my past, the past mistakes that I hold on to (some good and some bad) all take the back seat to this little life I see, I hold, I love.  Becoming a mother - made me really grow up.  The good thing about it is, I get to be a kid again.  Yeah sure I can't go back in time and undo any bad credit, take back my past mistakes, get another first job - but I can live through the innocence of my daughters eyes, the wonders of riding her bike to the park (if that's where she wants to go), the free spirit I see in her eyes that she is invincible.  I'm going to relish the moments with her as she too will soon be a grown up.

Life speeds by way to fast - I just hope my seat belt holds.

That was a great posting! I sometimes too wonder when we've officially become "grown ups". However, I still try to keep the kid in me alive. Can't always be a grown up, it's no fun! :)
