Yesterday driving home from lunch with my mother in law, I was sitting in the passanger seat of my Trail Blazer and I was watching people drive. Counting how many people were wearing their seat belts, watching the drivers pick their noses, you know the ususal. Then it occured to me - as I watched a grown woman eat her boogars (yes she did!), we are NOT invisible. Now yes I know we've had this discussion before but I figure it's time to go ahead and revisit it:
People are watching you:
- When you're singing in your car and forget the words (someone is watching)
- When you blow your nose and look at the contents of the tissue (someone is watching)
- When you pick your nose and roll whatever it is between your fingers (someone is watching) *by the way, where does it go??
- When you are screaming at your kids in the car (someone is watching)
- While you smoke your cigarettes with your windows rolled up and your precious kids in the backseat are jumping around (someone is watching)
- As you wipe the tears you're crying (someone is watching)
- When you run that red light (someone is watching)
- As you put on your make up, drink your coffee and talk on the phone at the same time (someone is watching)
- As you get pissed off at the guy who just cut you off in traffic and you start to cuss and flip him/her off (someone is watching)
Basically no matter what you do, you're being watched. Sometimes obviously someone is staring at you and you can feel it - other times you see them as just another driver/passanger on the road to life and you don't think of them a second time - but no matter what you do 99% of the time you're being watched, by someone.
So keep the fingers out of your nose folks - because I WILL BE WATCHING
