Scared of a 7 year old
Ok I have to say something and I really really hope that I don't get bashed for it, that being said... I'm afraid of my husbands 7 year old nephew "C". He really freaks me out.
At first it was just because he reminds me of the kid from "Problem Child" - has that devious look about him. Then it was because when Hailey was a baby he was a little too curious about her body parts. Then it was because I caught him sitting in her bedroom with her by himself with the door shut. Luckily I heard it shut and went running in there. Since then he's not allowed to be or play alone with her. Well my sister in law asked us to babysit the boys last night. I knew that "C" has some emotional problems but I also know that I don't trust him. Well Hailey was laughing really really hard at something "C"'s brother was doing. So on my way into the living room, I see Hailey's light on in her room and the door is almost shut, I open it and "C" is standing there holding a pair of Hailey's little panties. I asked him what he was doing and he said that they were sticking out of the drawer and he just wanted to see what it was.
The hair on my arms stood on end. I told my husband my concerns about "C" but he thinks it's just "C" being curious. I think it's something more. Do I tell "C"s mom? I told her before about how I was worried about "C" being so interested in Hailey's diaper changes and changing of clothes and she looked at me like I slapped her. I don't want to ruin a relationship with her - but I just don't like that kid. He really gives me the creeps.
Suggestions?

I would keep your daughter away from this kid. Trust your instinct.

You have a single go at raising your daughter. Being afraid to spoil a friendship than rather ensure your daughter's safety is not a wise decision. One wrong action can affect your daugters life eternally.
