I was out yesterday. My daughter is sick. I don't know exactly what's wrong with her. Monday night my daughter had a high fever 103.2 I gave her some Tylenol and her fever went down. It didn't break. So I stayed home with her yesterday and her fever stayed at about 101 or so. The drs have told me not to medicate her if the fever is under 102. So I didn't medicate her at all during the day. Come evening time her fever spiked and went up to almost 103 again.
Yesterday evening when she was drinking she'd say OW OW MOMMY OW... but won't let me look in her mouth to see if her throat is red and inflamed. My husband is home with her today. I told him to let me know if she starts complaining about her mouth then I'd make a dr's appt for her. I hope it's not strep. I really am not going to be much use here today at work, all I can think about and concentrate on is my daughter. How I should be at home with her. She's MY baby and I'm here at work :(
I feel like a crapface mommy.

oh poor whit!
don't worry so much! she's a kid! kids get sick and then they get better! it's good for them to be sick every once in a while 'cause it builds up their immune systems.
so just get some work done.
poor whit!

Yeah the dr's said that fevers are good for them, it lets their body fight off what's going on naturally. I'm just worried because she hasn't been fever free since Monday morning.

awww...poor little girlie, I am sorry to hear she's sick, I know, it's miserable! And I remember the guilt of going to work, but you do it for her, remember that, I hope she gets better soon! Keep us updated, K whit? LOve ya, give her a hug from this mommy (kids love mommy hugs, doesn't matter who's mommy, as long as it's a mommy sometimes!)

LOL yeah.
I just called home to see what was going on and she was saying BARNEY BARNEY. My hubby is being dad of the year by enduring hours of Barney. He said she's drinking some and isn't complaining about her mouth. She still has her fever though :(

Hey Whit,
Hope your little girl is back to her usual self very soon! Did the doctor also prescribe you some valium or something useful too? ;)

Don't worry, Whit. I used to get strep throat, like, three times a year when I was little. It's not that bad. Hope your kid gets better soon! :)
