| Okay, I have been through this, and I know, it seems like your child will be the ONE child that is actually being haunted or something....unless she has marks or you are also noticing some freaky stuff, she is probably just going through a phase...alot of kids see monsters on tv...sesame street, anything like that, heck Monsters Inc. that one set my oldest off for a while...it is usually just their little newfound imaginations running away with them! Good Luck Whit! |

I haven't experienced anything crazy but there are times where I'll see Hailey smiling up at nothing and then giggling. There are times where I don't feel "comfortable" going into certain rooms but that's because I think it's dark and its the back room of our house.
Other than that nothing out of the ordinary happens.
Raj - she seems so scared like it's real. I mean big crocodile tears and everything. It's so weird. |

| LMAO Ladi, I actually asked Hailey if she saw dead people - and she looked at me like I told her I wanted to eat her feet for lunch, so I'm guessing that's a no. |

| I'm going to get a spraybottle and I'm going to fill it up with water with a couple drops of perfume and anytime she see's a monster she can spray it - it makes the monsters disappear. I hope that will help. |

Ifeelcrazy - I don't think you're crazy at all :) I like your idea and I'm going to do it when she starts up again with the monsters. |

You should do some research on your home - maybe it is haunted & your daughter is actually seeing a ghost.
When I was younger, I was home alone with my youngest brother. Well, he was up in his room taking a nap & I was downstairs watching Saved by the Bell (yea, I actually do remember that). Well, he comes screaming from his room - "There's a man in my room, there's a man in my room!" I get him settled downstairs & I take our Sheltie upstairs to investigate & I could not get him to go in that room. I didn't see anything but they say that young children & animals can sense ghosts. You may want to look into it. When my mom looked into it there was at least one lady who died in that house & she was rather manish.
You could always contact TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society). They are the guys on the show Ghost Hunters & see what they think. When it involves a child they move that to the top of their list & come to investigate. They go all over the country. Here is their website if you are interested: http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com.
If you have any questions for me about it, shoot me an email.
Good Luck, Whit! |

| Whoever said something about the house being haunted may not be too far from the truth. Kaylie has these moments when she gets startled asleep and screams, or she just sits in her room talking and laughing. I truly think my house is haunted. I haven't had any experiences but kids tend to have them when adults can't. Also, Kaylie had a short lived imaginary friend that she got in a fight with because she would scare her....has your daughter watched monsters inc recently??? |

Mamacita - nope we haven't seen that movie in quite a long time.
GSH - that reply is so funny!!! She does walk around all the time looking for "Ho HO" (Santa)... maybe I need to keep all the decorations out - ha! Too funny. |

| Oh my!! Okay, I don't really have any suggestions, wouldn't even know how to deal with this YET! But I can definitely understand why you are freaked out! I really like your spray bottle idea and ifeelcrazy's idea about Mommy takin out the monsters. :) Hopefully that will help? If not... then maybe checking into the haunting thing.... yikes! |

Whit, I had the same problem that your kid had.
When christmas came around, my parents had given me a lamp so that I didn't have to run into things to get to the light switch at night.
Every time I saw something in the corner of the room, I would just stare at it for a bit, and move my hand to the lamp. I turned it on and, when I saw nothing was there, I just sat there for a minute staring at the spot. If your kid sees that there's really nothing there, then they should stop.
But, if they're seeing these things in the daylight, too, then that could be a problem.
Most children had a...
well, it's not really a disease... But you hear the term as much as you would hear that someone has a cold.
Over-active imagination.
Most children have it mildly when they're a little, you know, like an imaginary friend? Probably everyone had one of those when they were little. But some kids have it a lot worse, and those are the kids that see monsters in the middle of the day. This can be a problem, 'cause kids can grow up with that kind of thing and have it when they're, like, 20. I'm 14, and I still have it...
But if she's really scared, and it is over-active imagination, you gotta get it out of her. Ask her to draw you some pictures, or write you a story or something. If that doesn't work, you should probably go see a doctor or a specialist about it.
Wow, this seems kinda lengthy... Hope you get through it all!
And I hope your kid is better soon! |
