I have so been slacking on the blogging front... not from choice but holy crapola - work has literally kicked my butt the past few weeks.
I have a LOT of catching up to do, reading blogs of my favorite authors (you all know who you are  ). So I'm going to give a little update on me and what's been going on....
Last week I got my review and a raise. I got the best raise in my department, a dollar. I still don't make what I should but at least it's MORE than what I was making. Hell I still make more money than anyone in my family, minus my father. I got my review and for a change my boss had nothing negative to say about me. I got a lot of praise and of course she started talking about other people in our department, my viewpoint on them. During the talk she gave me back "change orders" which was taken off of me last year due to someone else being bored and needed extra work. So come to find out she couldn't handle them so I now have them back. I was over whelmed because this woman just stopped doing them about 6 weeks ago, so I had to do a lot and I do mean A LOT of catching up. Uggh pain, pain, pain. It was refreshing because once the girls in my department knew I was getting them back they all cheered, yes ladies and gentlemen... they literally cheered. Talk about a boost for the ol ego. We also got our bonuses last week, I got $1200.00 (before taxes)... I think it could have been more, but then don't we always think we deserve more? Yeah, it's the American way. LOL
We (my company) is involved in a huge cook off where we invite other companies, who also are participating, over to our tent to meet everyone here and drink and enjoy the food. Well I was told I had to be there (another ego boost). I was asked if I would work the food committee and basically help people fill their plates, sure thing no problem. Well Friday I get pulled to the side by our company's coordinator telling me that they find me too big an asset to be on the food committee and they want me working the door welcoming people. He said and I quote, "We need a pretty, friendly face to welcome our customers. You are like sunshine and everyone agree's that you need to be one of the first faces they see." HELLO... ANOTHER EGO BOOST! So yeah, I feel good. Though the nin-come-poop that sits next to me was in charge of getting the invites out (we're talking a little over 300) and she's got the beginning signs of alzheimers and I don't know what she did but everything got messed up and then the coordinator and my boss went in together and asked me (TOLD ME) that I needed to do the invites. So needless to say getting the men together, getting their lists together and getting the invites out took up my days. *sigh*, I finished them yesterday and actually have them in the mail. Please note that I started them on Thursday.
On the weight loss front nothing really is going on. I lost a few lbs and put them back on. I talked to my dr and come to find out, I most likely wont see the results I want while I'm on birth control. I talked to my husband this weekend and we decided it was time for me to get off the pill. Actually, he's wanted me off them for a while (he wants another baby) but I've been resistant because 1 child is so easy and well the money issue (having more of it with 1) is a huge bonus. So I am off birth control but I'm going to take measures to still prevent getting pregnant. HOPEFULLY I will see hard work pay off and the weight comes off.
I don't really have anything left to update about, or not that I can think of anyway (brain still isn't working fully). I'm going to try to be better at blogging, and reading my friends blogs - and bascially being a part of Thoughts again.
Off to catch up on my friends.

Yea, a raise! Isn't it great to work for folks that let you know how important you are to the office? :)
