I use to drive long haul and it always amazed me the chances people would take just so they wouldn't have to be behind a truck, I now drive a corvette and it amazes me that people think they have to prove how fast there ricer is...the ones that really get to me are the men in their mini vans that want to race when they have a car full of kids..

guess I could say I know what your going through..the problems were different but not, times have always been hard, when you have a family you always strive to give them the best, you do what ever it takes to make sure that the are provided for, maybe it's not what you had dreamed of but you do what it takes to protech them and make them happy and seure, I thank god ..not that I believe in a organized God that the bible thumpers do but I belive in a god of my choosing, and he has heard from me many times over the years, my wife and I have raised 5 children they have all graduated high school 4 of them are going to college on has graduated from college, none have been arrested or hung up on drugs , they all know that everyone is equal in this world and the all know how to stand up for whats right. As a parent thats all you can ever ask for, Rajh your both at the what i call the critical point.. 5 years.. man thats along time when your young, I wish I could say it gets easier but it doesn't..what does get better is the love you both have for each other and the children, and it'd BS if you think you can do it for the kids,alone, I'm looking back on 30 years and still wonderin how we did it, I know what it was it's just hard to believe.. but love for each other and the love of those kids made this day happen, and even if we had won some lottery along the way I don't think for a minute that it would have changed our lives, granted it sure as hell would have made things alot easier but...it wouldn't have taught us how to appreciate a hand made card, somethin made outa wood, something that came from the heart..it's the tuff times that build the strength of a family and it is those times that you will remember best long time down the road, I guess theres no easy answer to give ya Rajh except to trust and believe in each other and do what ya gotta do... I thougt at one time we would never make it, but here we are 30 years down the road...lookin to try and take off where we started, the roads not easy..but..it's more than worth it once you get to the end....

Thanks Paul..I've been stalling on the Christmas spirt this year, not much of the Gang will be home for it,in fact havent even put up a tree, just didn't have the spirt too until I read this post this morning, and now after thinking about it most of the day I remembered that most of the ornaments we have were all made by the kids...So thanks to you Paul I'm going to go out and kill a tree and put it up and remember where all those ornaments came from..

joanne, I don't feel the gun is the problem , I believe what we are seeing is the results of a decline in social behavior ,a person feels hurt for what ever reason and blames it on life and goes and out and ruins a hundred other lives, why? It's True there are people out there with mental disorders, there are people out there who feel the world is against them, people are bullied,abused, the gun is not the problem, its only a solution to their problems. Think back a ways, it wasn't till the media started flooding the media for days upon days about these tragic events that the ball started rolling and they became more frequent. It's easier to put the blame on the gun than it is on the system or the people who could have possibly prevented the act. I myself have a great fear of any nation that only lets the military or police have a weapon.
