I got on the scale this morning and it said, "Please set the boulder down before you get on the next time."
I want to just ramble on about "justifications' for behaviors which many could consider inappropriate, rude or otherwise selfishly motivated. It is from a form of what I term the, "use you / use me blues."
For example: I had a person expose to me recently this explanation for taking someone's food stamps in exchange for money, such that for $3 in stamps they'd get $2 worth of gasoline = "because" of other things they are doing for this person. It is a righting of fairness in ones own mind for the actions and benefits of those concerned. So my question is this: what's really going on in terms of service and gratitude and the notion of generosity? Does every act have a price?????????? A favor of "must be returned." (some day?) The "I'll scratch your back if you'll scratch mine." Ah! yes but and we know some of these peoples will knife you in the back. = the self in survivalism (next blog).
Then in a song I say,
What do I need so much to ask for
What was my worst most wretch-ed sin
Did I smile upon my neighbor
Did I let the stranger in
The song title is I WANT TO SING ABOUT THE GLORY and this particular verse is saying basically what does one pray for(?) Something they'ld like for their self or for others.
Does anyone think about why a rather heartfelt sincere and earnest request and one of ultimate sense and logic goes as voided? Requests denied. Access not granted. Miracles awaited and nought be.
If only people made more sense I wouldn't outstretch my arms toward the sky saying, "Something, anything please hold me." or the ever ongoing "Make sense World."
