In the movie "The Great Debaters" one of the main characters told his son this great quote that I really liked it was "We do what we have to do, in order to do what we want to do". That was a true revelation to me. So often in life we wonder why are we stuck in different situations and I believe that this quote really answers that question.
So my question is what quotes or words of wisdom have others given to you that made an impact in your life.
Mines is from my mother she always told us as children that "Silence is Golden". I still live by that to this day.

"Get ya head out ya @zz and see what's going on"
"Get your education and succeed in life"
"Work brings it's own rewards"
