The Godfather is definetly at the top of my list for favorite movies. I love parts I & II and can sit through part III. Even though I don't really care for part III my favorite Godfather line comes from that movie. When Tony says, "Everytime I try to get out, they keep pulling me back in". Man that line never felt so true than yesterday. I have been in a complicated situation at work this past school year with working with a new person who I thought would be good mix, but turned out to the the exact opposite. I have been guilty of gossiping about her and the situation that we are in.
So on Wednesday at Bible Study the subject was Prayer and we were told to get back to our first love meaning the Lord if we see ourselves doing things that we know we shouldnt like gossiping. During the prayer I asked the Lord to forgive me for my ways and for all the things that I said about her. So yesterday a co-worker told me about some comments that she made about me and I was taken back because of I had just made the commitment the night before to do better. I said a quick mental prayer not to go there and get in the flesh. I left the situation alone and just told the person I didnt care. So the Godfather line came to me later that day and you guys have to realize that the Devil is working hard, but I am working harder. Because it seems like everytime you try to do better and be the bigger person the Devil be trying to to pull you back in. I didnt go there with her and I definetly didnt go there with him. It is a daily battle!!
So all my brothers and sisters in the Lord keep me up in your prayers.
