During slavery black people were killed
But we fought and fought until
We were beaten by our masters,
Or should I say "massas"
Blacks were abused in the 1600's
They were whipped so many times
That we don't even know about
They were killed when they tried to escape
They were property
They were killed for sneaking and trying
To free the other slaves
I thank Jesus for breaking the bonds
and slavery is over
