I've been spending some time working on building up my M.A.C Pro palette (the 15 pan palette) and learning how to use them in different ways. I was never a M.A.C girl because I always thought the MUA's that worked there looked too garish and pancakey. But now that I'm understanding the different types of coverage and the different looks you can achieve with different products, I get it.
So, for my palette i started with these shades:
Da Bling (soft pink Veluxe pearl finish)
Swimming (light green shimmer lustre finish)
Trax (burgudy and gold flecked velvet finish)
Plumage (dark teal matte finish)
Coppering (bronzed, copper veluxe finish)
Humid (vivid green frost finish)
Aquadisiac (bright turquoise lustre finish)
I totally get why people are addicted to M.A.C- the shadows blend sooo well and they are so vibrant. I am currently working to replace my cheaper, less pigmented brands with M.A.C.
Brushes- I picked up some really cheap brushes at a local craft store for $2.99 and I was very surprised with the quality. They have a squishy grip that gives great control and even though they are synthetic fibers, they work so well with applying eyeshadow. I usually use no less than 7 brushes to apply my daily makeup but I was able to use one of these cheapies for a few purposes and ended up only using 4 brushes. I was able to swipe the brush on a napkin and remove all traces of color, then turn around and use the same brush for another color. Those were a great find. I just wish they had more sizes. I'll try to post pics of those and pics of my looks.
