So after reading a thread on NP and watching one of my buddies YouTube vids on how to cleanse your face with EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), I decided to give it a try. On Tuesday night I used the EVOO to remove my face and eye makeup and it was very effective... even moreso than the other products i use specifically for this (Maybelline expert eyes and Philosophy's Purity Made Simple) After I massaged the oil in, I wiped my face with a dry wash cloth then went about my regular face cleansing regimen. On Wednesday morning, I woke up with three pimples on one side of my nose. I didn't sweat it at the time. Thursday morning, I was in full breakout mode. My chin, cheeks nose and spots on my forehead were red and bumpy. I freaked out! I made a last minute doctors appointment for Friday and she said it was acne. The doc prescribed Clindamysin which I got filled PROMPTLY and also picked up some items by Clean & Clear: Advantage Acne cleanser and Persa-Gel10. The Clindamysin did nothing so I stepped it up by cleansing my face twice a day with the Acne cleanser and dotted on the persa-gel two to three times a day.
Well it's Monday and my face looks WAY better than it did, but it's still a little bumpy and I'm noticing a dark mark on the side of my nose where the pimples were. I will probably post a YouTube vid this week so hopefully I can help someone else if they're in a similar dilemma. This was a classic case in "Everything is not for Everybody" or "whats good for the goose ain't always good for the gander." Lesson learned...stick to what works!
