For us lovely folks waaaaaaaayyyyyyy up here in the north winter is well on its way. The temps have been dropping, and dropping lately. It was a high of 44 today, tomorrow is a high of 39. Sad, I say. I went out to my car this morning and had to scrape off all the windows, this weekend it's supposed to snow. *tear*
I must say...I AM NOT READY FOR WINTER!!!
This summer was not a summer at all, at least not up here, not sure about the rest of the country. I feel like I've been completely jipped! Where's my summer, dammit!?
I work this weekend, which will suck because my job depends on the weather, but what can we do? Ha! Just grin and bear it. I get Thursday - Sunday off. I think I'll utilize that time to clean out my garage (I need to park in there asap...in MN you can't park on the streets after November overnight and the parking spot I currently use is used to pile up snow) and get out my winter gear!
I have also decided that this winter I need to do a winter sport, to keep myself occupied. I have snowboarding gear and have gone a few times (I suck, but in my defense, I've only gone like 2 or 3 times, and only one major time at that...if that makes sense). So I could snowboard, if I have the money! Lift tickets can be expensive, but are definitely worth it. The other thing I am thinking of? SNOWSHOEING!!!! I used to snowshoe ALL the time, and I LOVE IT! Snowshoes are around 200-260 for a pair, but that's not bad considering I can use them whenever I want! :-) There are so many parks around here I could snowshoe in, and I am sure I could park somewhere for free and hike in. How fun?
That's all for today, folks! I hope you're all doing well!
