 RIP Doppy
We brought her in and put her to sleep earlier this afternoon. If you're wondering what I am talking about see here.

Overnight she got considerably worse. She was in the same spot this morning as she was when we went to bed last night. She wouldn't eat or drink anything and she wouldn't take any of her medications.

John and I decided we'd rather put her down than to have her suffer and starve to death.

I cried a little. Now we feel bad for Ginger, our other pig. So I think we might go to the humane society and get a rescue. The animal kingdom, I would so have it if I could.

Anyway, today is a pretty boring day besides. No point in blogging about it. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekends!

I am so sorry about your baby, some people don't understand no matter what the animal is they are not just pets to us but they are part of our family. I have a cat I fear when she has to go I am going to go off the deep end. She is my baby and I mean my baby. I hold her as such like when you have to burp a baby I hold her like so and pat her back she will stay like that till I get up or I move to fast for her.

Sorry to hear about Doppy. But you did the right thing by putting her down. No one wants to watch suffering first hand.

She's in a better place now, without suffering :-)

I love you

Sorry to hear about Doppy. It's never an easy choice to make but sometimes it's just for the best. The hardest decision I ever had to make was to have our old Black Lab Midnight put down. I Went in with her and held her while they did. It was way too easy for them to do for it to have been such an earth shattering choice. But she went peacefully. Just closed her eyes and she was gone.

Sorry 'bout the lil beastie, Cassie, but you absolutely did the right thing. The poor thing was dying slowly, but you sparred it that misery. Could more have been done? Maybe, maybe not (frankly, probably not). But you did alot for th' lil stinker, and I'm sure that if they're able, she feels appreciation for that act of selflessness. Suffering is SO hard for me to witness...

John

You made a difficult and very humane choice for Doppy...it's one of the hardest things in the world. I still remember holding my dog, Cotton, in my arms as they put her to sleep, she was in so much pain. We knew it was the only choice really, but it didn't make it any easier.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all...and I believe Doppy is now frolicking, chewing, nibbling and enjoying amazing freedom someplace beautiful.
