I hope that he starts to feel better! And I agree about family coes first but at least they are willing to work with you on being home.
That is great.

Here's my update:

It's not his ears. He's got strep throat. I dropped off the Rx and have to pick it up in an hour. He dropped off to sleep, poor thing. My bro-in-law is done work at 11:30 so he's going to sit with him while I go pick up his meds. The dr says he should be good to go to the shore this weekend anyway. The antibiotic is pretty strong and should knock it out quickly. He obviously won't be in the pool at all. (this place has an indoor pool)

So now I'm going to try to do some work, at least for an hour or two.

Medicines are wonderful. I am glad your little man will be well on the way to recovery very quickly. That's the thing about men of any age who are sick, we don't like it and we like to be cared for.

Might I impose on you next time I have to deal with needles?

Good news - he's not dehydrated even though he wasn't drinking much. He actually just ate soup for dinner - he asked for it specifically. Now he's drinking. He's had his dose of meds, plus some Motrin and he's acting a little more like himself.

But I won't be in work tomorrow. I'll have to keep him home another day. I just hope he's better for the weekend. We're supposed to go away. The shore isn't that far, only about 2 hours.
