Blue jays ARE truly beautiful. Here in BC, they are known as Steller Jays. I have quite the flock visiting me each and every day to get their share of the peanuts, that the squirrels have left behind. Watching the Mothers train the fledglings is Mother Earth herself. I am truly blessed to...

Templar, I agree with you; I worry about our athletes and other Canadian citizens attending the games. Personally, I think the world spoke to the IOC with the activism during the "torch run" ... However; I do not feel that the IOC has a social conscious.

I use Valerie-Jeanne because it is the name my mother gave me on the day of my birth. Valer for strength, and the Jeanne added on because she did not like just the name Valerie ... he he he
