I am sorry that you feel like you aren't doing anything to make her feel better. Is it possible that she has seasonal depression, or possibly that she could be pregnant? I know at the beginning of both pregnancies, before I even knew, I was a crabby and tired mopey kinda girly. : ) I wish you all the best....
