Given the reality we would all quickly find out how important we are to each other! Men could no more live without women than women could live without men. Each of our brains were meant to work together ensuring better solutions. The problem at the moment is that we do not respect our differences and instead, wish the other was more like us. Men wish women were more men-like and women wish men were more women-like. We need each other!

We all need each other as much as anything. I think if I was watching the football I would need a woman to get beer from the fridge and make butties for everyone. Or I might miss something, so they are needed equaly in my mind and my life. Maybe my team lost and I would need a woman to cry on. Women just need good sex and shiny things, and a man that pretends to listen. If they actually listen women don't have anything to moan about to friends. Lol.

In all serious now... I honestly do believe that gender biases are totally over rated.

Women would suffer without men. It's that simple. I mean, men are generally simple creatures. We sleep, eat, drink beer, watch sports and laugh at our own jokes. Rememebr, a simple man, is a happy men. Women, on the other hand...have different fingers. LOL

sorry guys..but in dealing with folks who have lost a spouse.. women are far more able to cope and self reliant. us men lean on them more than we realize.. and I think they often fake fear like they fake orgasm.. to keep up our self esteem.. but we give them something to yell at.. we provide a service.. and we're good in bed when we're up to it..

Women and my reason for this answer is that women are naturally caregivers, & nurterers: to feed and protect: to nurture one's offspring
to support and encourage, as during the period of training or
development.
Women are naturally compassionate, if a woman had to decide to either watch the superbowl or run out to get diapers for her little one, knowing she might miss something exciting, your nurtuerer inside her would kick into high gear and go get them diapers, or even beer for her husband.
Woman nauturally sacrifice there needs and put there loved ones and friends first.
I have nothing agaisnt Men but they are not born naturally to do these things they have to be taught/trianed to do so, because if they could naturally do all the above then they would be able to get pregnant.

Men solve problems, hunt, women nurture and feed. Despite my rant yesterday morning :) I believe we do need each other for a balance world, but I also believe that Mike is right - women seem to survive better after a spouse's death. They say that married men also live longer, strange but, true. Skip, you better be hiding, lol! just kidding :) Great question, US!

i think men need women more (i am sorry, guys< i am a man but i must confess that it is true...). but there would be no women without men too. so... argh... a rather philosophical question indeed.
